Formal Complaints

A formal complaint requires a signed written complaint to be filed. Copies of the complaint form in English and Spanish are available in the lobby of the Venus Municipal Center located at 700 West US Highway 67 in Venus or they can be downloaded here for English and here for Spanish. The complaint forms can be returned to the above address or to our supervisor email box at contact@venuspolice.org.

If you require more assistance please send an email to our leadership team at contact@venuspolice.org or contact the Office of the Chief of Police at (972) 366-3547. Please make sure to leave your contact information if you have to leave a message and our leadership team will return your call as soon as possible.

Informal Complaints

If you feel an officer provided less than excellent police service but do not feel that their conduct rose to misbehavior that warrants a formal complaint please either email the leadership team at contact@venuspolice.org or call the Office of the Chief of Police at (972) 366-3547. Please make sure to leave your contact information if you have to leave a message and our leadership team will return your phone call as soon as possible.

A supervisor will be assigned to review the incident and determine if discipline, training, policy changes or implementation, or a formal investigation is warranted.
