City of Venus Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) is a statutory board created pursuant to state law and V.T.C.A. Local Government Code. The P&Z Commission consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City of Venus City Council members to provide analysis and recommendation of long-range growth per city council's direction.
P & Z members hold public hearings, amend/propose zoning ordinance, and map to best promote health, safety, order, convenience, and general welfare throughout the City of Venus and newly annexed areas.
Meetings are generally held the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm.
